- Klik ‘Messages’
- BBMenu – Options – General Options
- Dibaris 3, ‘Display Order’ klik dan pilih ‘Name, Subject’
- Dibaris 4, ‘Display Message Header On’ klik dan pilih ‘2 lines’
- Dibaris 10, ‘Separators’ klik dan pilih ‘Stripes’
- Baris paling bawah, ‘Keep Messages’ pilih ‘15 days’ (tidak memenuhi inbox/memori)

1. Select Options
2. Then select Mobile Networks
3. Change setting Coverage Area to 2G, 3G or 2G & 3G (Automatic)
4. Back, then save changes

# Pastikan di PC/notebook anda sudah ter-install Blackberry Desktop Manager, apabila belum silahkan install dari CD yang disertakan pada saat pembelian handset

# Download OS terbaru di situs resmi blackberry (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp), pilih sesuai operator yang anda gunakan. Apabila anda membeli blackberry device langsung dari operator (Indosat/XL/Telkomsel/Axis), sangat disarankan untuk HANYA men-download dari sini

# Atau, anda bisa juga download OS terbaru mengikuti acuan dari situs seperti berryreview.com ataupun crackberry.com
# Segera install OS yang telah di download
# Apabila anda memilih OS BUKAN dari situs resmi operator yang anda gunakan, cari file "vendor.xml" di "..program files/common files/research in motion/shared/loader files/..", kemudian HAPUS file tersebut

#Jalankan aplikasi Blackberry Desktop Manager, dan hubungkan blackberry anda melalui kabel USB
#Ikuti petunjuk selanjutnya
Proses membutuhkan waktu sekitar 30 - 60 menit, paling lama saat proses Erasing Application (awal) dan Waiting for Device (terakhir)
